Not all cosmetic treatments need to be surgical and anti-wrinkle injections can provide an excellent method for softening existing fine lines and preventing further deepening or the development of new wrinkles. Lifestyle factors such as sun damage and smoking, or simply laughing and frowning all contribute to developing wrinkles and acquiring a more aged look. These non-invasive injections provide a relatively quick and painless way to smooth out forehead lines, crow’s feet and creases in the skin around the chin, neck and cheeks.
How long does treatment take and how long will it last?
Anti-wrinkle injections are the most common of all non-surgical cosmetic treatments and typically takes just 30 minutes to administer. The result will become apparent anywhere between 5 days to 2 weeks and a more relaxed and youthful appearance will last for 3 – 6 months from treatment, sometimes longer for repeat clients.
Are anti-wrinkle injections safe and how does it work?
Line and wrinkle treatments work by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles which results in the smoothing of existing lines and prevention of new wrinkles forming. The treatment is totally safe and over the past years of use, applications of this medication have been found to be useful for other conditions such as excessive sweating, cluster headaches, eye spasms and more recently irregular heartbeat.
The areas that we treat in our clinic include
- Crow’s feet
- Frown lines
- Necklace lines and
- Laughter lines
Treatment areas will be recommended to each patient on an individual basis after a full consultation has taken place.
We recommend that patients avoid alcohol consumption and refrain from exercise on the day of treatment and also avoid tilting their head forward after receiving treatment to help ensure the best results possible. Repeat treatment is recommended each 4 months to ensure the ‘mini lift’ effect is maintained.
